Potty Training
			At Amanda Panda Preschool, we sympathize with a parent's desire to potty train their child as soon as possible. We have found that part of a successful  potty training requires specific developmental and emotional milestones prior to any training. Our potty-training policy is as follows: * We don't start potty training until a child reaches 2 1/2 years of age. * We will begin when staff and parent(s) feel the child is developmentally and emotionally ready. * We will consult with the parent(s) to check what methods are being used at home. * Children can visit the bathroom as often as needed.  * No pressure will be put on the child to go to the bathroom. * We will not force the child to sit on the toilet if he or she does not want to or is uncomfortable doing it. * We will allow the child to sit on the toilet for as long as she or he wants to. * We will provide lots of praise and opportunities to succeed.
